The nurses run their own appointments system and cover services such as minor illnesses, health promotion, injections, ear syringing, and assistance to the doctors.


Health Care Assistants

Jan Mickleburgh Our health care assistant offers appointments for blood tests, new patient checks and for patients to have their blood pressure checked. In addition they assist doctors with minor surgery.

Our reception staff are here to provide a courteous and efficient service. Any member of the reception team, will be pleased to help you. There is disabled aces to all public areas of the surgery.

Health Visitors (Tel: 01603 766467)

Jo Shrimpling, Anneke van den Berg, Helen Thompson and Ali Gibbons are based at the surgery. They give advice and support to expectant mothers and families with children under the age of 5. They also offer a programme of child health surveillance to the under fives.

Community Midwife (Urgent Matters Tel: 01603 481222 Non Urgent Matters Tel: 01603 288681)

Sarah Martin is the surgery midwife. She works with the doctors to provide antenatal and postnatal care. Sarah also runs parentcraft courses for would-be mums and dads.

District Nurses

District nurse Louise Holliday and her team are here to help in a variety of ways:
- by advising on matters relating to good health and the prevention of ill health
- by providing direct care and support
- by teaching you ways to look after yourself and advising friends and carers as necessary
- by working closely with your GP and other agencies
